Sheriff Alvie Kight has dedicated the last 25 years to the Toombs County, Georgia, community. "A sheriff’s job is not always to lock people up. It’s to help people. This is what a good sheriff does. I love our people. I love working for them, our citizens, and I love helping them. That’s always been my job.” He will retire as Sheriff in 2024.

Working with InVGene, he will continue his service to our community in an advisory capacity and be one of the public faces for our Initiative.
